Yeh Akaash Vani Ka Prasaaran Hai :)

When it comes to Love, we always prefer Luv. Yes, after making a cult classic Romantic-Comedy “Pyaar Ka Punchnama”, Luv Ranjan is the new icon of young romance. In the previous film, Music was new too and not the vintage romantic soundtrack. Now let’s see how well the background scorer Hitesh Sonik has done his job as a composer.

Music: Hitesh Sonik, Lyricist: Luv Ranjan

1. Pad Gaye Ji – Singers: KK, Sunidhi Chauhan

When a soundtrack starts with such songs, the listener feels blessed to accept it in their ears. it’s a soft, simple romantic composition having a rock setup in the background. KK’s voice so well suits it that you can easily offer your ears some multiple listen. The only drawback in this song is the drum beats that play their roles in the hook line. Had it been replaced by a guitar or a bass sound, it would have made a much soothing impact to the listener. This song would be in every youth’s mind and heart. It’s a sure chartbuster song.

2. Crazy Lover – Singers: Vishal Dadlani, Sunidhi Chauhan

it’s a full fun filled song with blatant lyrics and lazy composition, but very strong and impressive vocals by Vishal. When the song starts with a strong beat and Vishal says something like “yeiyee yeiyee”, you really would clap for him. But the song doesn’t offer much and it’s situational so it has to get a “GET OUT”.

3. Bas Main Aur Tu – Singers: Nikhil D’Souza, Neeti Mohan

The simplicity gets deeper in this romantic track. Nikhil has done his job fairly with hardly any complaint. The song is not catchy but you would start liking it in the very second listen. The hero of this song is Guitar which is played continuously. It’s an Amit Trivedi style of composition but it suits the soundtrack very well. Melody was missing but if one listens it patiently, would find beauty in it. Neeti Mohan hasn’t any important role to play. It makes you remember the song “Koi Aa Raha Paas Hai” from Pyaar Ka Punchnama. It has also a Reprise version with some extra beats and it’s more impressive. The voice of Neeti Mohan is replaced byVasudha Sharma but makes no difference in the quality of this track.

4. Rumani – Thomson, Shalmali Kholgade

This should have been a romantic melody but surprisingly it turns out to be a classic rock which has drums, violins, guitars played in the old style english songs. The newcomer Thomson sings with his unique vocals but somehow fails to engage the listeners. His voice is like Usha Uthup and it’s has much femininity that sometimes it’s irritating. But since the composition is groovy and spicy, it manages multiple listen. Shalmali is given a very unimportant role but she always impresses with his sexy voice. Hitesh has composed this line beautifully “Hai zameen se falak, bedhadak bedhadak” and also lyrics of Luv Ranjan is appreciable.

5. Tera Mera Naam – Singers: Shafqat Amanat Ali

Just by listening the mukhra, you could easily declare it as the best in the album. Hitesh has done a great job by composing such a beautiful and unique tune. Shafqat as always, didn’t disappoint and leaves us spell-bound with his dominating vocals. It’s so beautifully written that one could easily lost in it and relate it to his/her life. I applaud Luv Ranjan for writing the lyrics so beautifully. Undoubtedly, it is the “WELCOME” song of this album.

Akaash Vani musically  amuses you, soothes you and a little irritates you too. Overall it has an engaging soundtrack full of youth-ness in it. Hitesh Sonik has done an impressive job though I had expected more melody in the songs. After a super hit lyrics of Ban Gaya Kutta, Luv Ranjan took the full responsibility in delivering words to the album and he has done a tremendous job. I give this album a
