Pritam is on the peak of his career as the whole country is praising about his music. At this beautiful time of his career, when a soundtrack like Race 2 comes, people are just glued to the social networking and songs downloading websites to get the songs released immediately. Let’s see how much Pritam has impressed us this time.
1.Party On My Mind – Singers: KK, Shefali Alvares, Yo Yo Honey Singh; Lyrics: Prashant Ingole
The soundtrack starts with a sizzling party track which offers you multiple listen. Shefali is a lucky one that she got a beautiful catchy line accompanied by the strong vocals of KK who delivers the much energy this song needed. Honey Singh with his own written rap is all perfect. It has already hit the charts and making everyone groove. The lyrics are nothing special. Prashant has just rhymed the words and tried to make it catchy. Pritam has intelligently used guitar in the starting, the beats are superb like anything.
2.Be-Intehaan – Singers: Atif Aslam, Sunidhi Chauhan; Lyrics: Mayur Puri
What comes to Pritam’s mind that he made a simple romantic track into something special and great! It’s a beautiful melody which you would just keep on singing. Sunidhi has sung it brilliantly delivering each and every note perfectly with her cute voice that she specially offers in romantic tracks. Atif’s vocals are strong but goes straight and blunt. Had it been any other romantic singer, the song would be much better and beautiful. But hat’s off to Pritam and Sunidhi.
3.Lat Lag Gayee – Singers: Benny Dayal, Shalmali Kholgade; Lyrics: Mayur Puri
Daaru Desi team is back with an extra bang that is Mayur Puri. Yes, the singing, the tune, the lyrics, somehow all goes so perfect in this foot-tapping track that you just can’t refuse to offer it to your ears. The song so well justifies its name that it really yields an addiction in you. Shalmali’s vocals are as sexy as Benny’s. The singers that are chosen here are damn perfect and they create a great impact to the listener. This song is growing in everyone and it might be one of the greatest hits of 2013. It’s a heaven-like catchy tune and you would lost your control after listening to this tune which is something beyond addiction. No doubt, it’s a “WELCOME” song of the album.
4.Allah Duhaayi Hai – Singers: Atif Aslam, Vishal Dadlani, Anushka Manchanda, Ritu Pathak, Michie One; Lyrics: Mayur Puri
I don’t know what came into producer’s minds that they planned to remake this song. It was so well perfectly organized in the prequel that even today it refreshes us. But since they did, the victim was Pritam. He had the responsibility to make a perfect song into an imperfect one. So first thing he did, chose five new singers and there made a new Allah Duhaayi with new techno-beats. It is a well made track, the highlight being Vishal Dadlani’s powerful vocals. Anushka is perfect too but Atif and Ritu Pathak deserve no credits. The stanza is beautifully created but the hook line “Allah Duhaayi Hai” is when changed, damaged the whole track and made it only 2-3 time listen. If Producers had made a full new track, it would be the better choice and that would made the listeners more excited. Unfortunately it has to get a “GET OUT”.
RACE 2 is a four track album which offers it’s listeners a great journey, a full-fledged reason to dance, party and romance too.
Pritam is in a great form and so he made it great. After 2012, the expectations from Pritam is so high that we want better, better and better that’s why when we compare it to Race, it doesn’t provide that effect. Way to go, as Pritam has a line of films waiting this year.
