Choreographer Remo D’Souza’s second directorial based on the theme “Dance”, is a film which everyone is waiting for. Remo shows a lot of belief in Sachin-Jigar and I guess they showed their full dedication towards the soundtrack.
1.Bezubaan – Singer: Mohit Chauhan, Priya Panchal, Tanvi Shah, Deane Sequiera; Lyricist: Mayur Puri
I wonder what would have come to the composers’ minds that they composed such a velvety, ravishing track which has a damn addictive hook line and such beautiful instruments with a fluffy and fleecy voice of Mohit Chauhan. When Priya sang the hook line with her innovative voice, the song becomes sweeter. The rap is so sexy and appealing that one could easily fall in love with that. Lyrics of Mayur Puri are pure, youth centric and lovable. Everything sets in the song so beautifully that it will be one of the most inspiring songs in recent times. Surely it gets a “WELCOME”.
2.Psycho Re – Singers: Mika Singh, Udit Narayan; Lyrics: Mayur Puri
It’s a song that is made in a Tamilian way. Beautifully arranged and the instruments used and the way they are played, are so well suited. Mika has done his job as great as he alwats does, Udit sir is no less. The lyrics are humorous having words like “Rajni kasam, aaj mera jaagran”. It’s a kind of song that you don’t like in the first listen but you would soon start enjoying the madness behind that.
3.Shambhu Sutaya – Singers: Shankar Mahadevan, Vishal Dadlani; Lyrics: Mayur Puri
The song starts with a beautiful alaap taken by the evergreen Shankar Mahadevan and then with marvelous electronic work, Vishal owns this song with his unique style of saying “Morya re Morya”. Typical instruments used in a Ganpati song along with some unusual arrangements and instruments. A must listen track!
4.Man Basiyo Saanwariyo – Singers: Anushka Manchanda Lyrics: Priya Panchal
Anushka owns this track by singing superbly and creates a vibe for the listeners. The only song which has priya’s lyrics and thankfully this time she wrote “something” different and fresh. A youth entertaining track with a new born style of Sachin-Jigar. Only the solo part played by the guitar every time before the hook line is confusing n not at all likeable to the ears. Don’t know, which type of experiments were Sachin-Jigar actually trying to do.
5.Chandu Ki Girlfriend – Raman Mahadevan, Jigar Saraiya, Divya Pushkama; Lyrics: Mayur Puri
The song which is situational and has no fresh element to applaud or praise but has situational lyrics. The song is sometimes annoying too. It doesn’t look like the song from the same album which has some masterpieces. So it gets a ‘GET OUT”.
6.Duhaayi Hai – Singer: Madhav Krishna; Lyrics: Mayur Puri
The song has a flavor of Ram Sampath. A sweet composition with slow acoustic guitars with endaring vocals of Madhav Krishna. A sure likeable track which is beautifully decorated with soulful lyrics. Mayur Puri is a standout performer here!
7.Sorry Sorry – Singers: Jigar Saraiya; Lyrics: Mayur Puri
It’s again a situational track but much better than the former one. It’s a fun to listen. The lyrics and tune both are catchy and Jigar’s voice is effective in this track. Surely a one-time listen!
8.Kar Ja Re Ya Mar Ja Re – Singers: Suraj Jagan; Lyrics: Mayur Puri
This song seems to be an addition to Bezubaan. But it’s surely not. Its duration is short and the lyrics play a main role in it which appeals to the youth and are quite effective in its own way. The beats are quite same as in Bezubaan (that’s why it seems an addition to it ).
9.Sadda Dil Vi Tu – Singers: Hard Kaur; Lyrics: Mayur Puri
Sachin-Jigar has left the best for the last (actually the second best) with another Ganpati song. Now the uniqueness is filled with much energy and so much of freshness in it, that you simply can’t stop listening to it. It’s a bit catchy and Hard Kaur owns this one as she is the highlight of this track. Great and fabulous instruments are used with some beautiful arrangements. Hat’s off to Mayur Puri as he wrote just what the youth wants to listen to. A unique Ganpati song and I guess, the best Ganpati song till date. Sachin-Jigar has created their unique identity and also it’s Hard Kaur’s best song till date. A salute to all who are involved in making this compelling and massy track!
ABCD has a unique sound and with this, Sachin-Jigar would be getting lot of praise for the dedication and intelligence they showed in composing all the tracks. Remo has done the correct thing choosing them as the composer. The films shows Any body can Dance but by listening to the soundtrack I would rather say, Any body can’t make Music like this. It would be surely one of the best albums of 2013. The thing which I like the most is that there’s no dual versions of any song. All songs are original and unique in their own way. With 7 beautiful songs, a one-time listen track and an annoying track,
The Final Verdict: AGREE
