Sanjay Gupta, famous for his action films, now comes with a much awaited film Shootout At Wadala which is not the sequel but the prequel of Shootout At Lokhandwala. The film is a multi-starer and we expect some great action from it. Now when we come to music, before 2000, the soundtracks for action films had a carefree attitude. That means the music directors didn’t give much importance to the action films, not even the director. After 2000, I guess this trend changed when Dhoom came with chartbuster music and from then the directors and producers started improvising and working on the soundtracks of action films. This film focuses on the world of 70’s. Music of action films made in 70’s, were generally disgusting. I think Anu Malik has taken it too seriously. 😀

Music Label: Sony Music

1. Aala Re Aala – Singers: Sunidhi Chauhan, Mika Singh;  Music: Anu Malik;  Lyrics: Neelesh Mishra

This song is a one time listen and that even in the background of the film. Some of the poorest arrangements ever!

2. Laila – Singer: Mika Singh;  Music: Anu Malik;  Lyrics: Kumaar

This song is made just for publicizing the film. Disgusting lyrics! A Total Crap!

3. Babli Badmaash – Singer: Sunidhi Chauhan; Music: Anu Malik;  Lyrics: Kumaar

A song completely merges with 70’s style of arrangements with some typical Anu Malik way of playing the instruments. Sunidhi has sung it brilliantly. The beats in the stanza are little cheap but overall, the song stands out! It’s a “WELCOME” song.

4. Yeh Junoon – Singer: Mustafa Zahid;  Music: Mustafa Zahid;  Lyrics: Irshad Kamil

Having a single in almost every film, Mustafa is a fast emerging singer. Quite decent melody with nice lyrics.

5. Aye Manya – Singers: Adnan Sami, Meet Bros. Anjaan, Shaan;  Music: Meet Bros. Anjaan;  Lyrics: Irshad Kamil

A typical theme based song with good use of arrangements. it’s definitely a one time listen!

6. Goli: Singers: Meet Bros. Anjaan, Sudesh Bhoshle, Anil Kapoor, John Abraham;  Music: Anu Malik;  Lyrics: Irshad Kamil

How can you even make a song like his?!?!!  A totally avoidable song! Recommending very bad for health!

Shootout At Wadala was a crap, a shit by Anu Malik and you would surely want to shoot him as you listen to the songs.

The Final Verdict: NOT A PROBLEM
