Music Giri (Policegiri – Music Review)

Policegiri

Music Industry has been very lucky for a while as all the musicians are delivering excellent albums and people get to hear some real classic stuffs. But one album like this comes in every 2-3 weeks. Policegiri. Music is by Himesh Reshammiya and one song is composed by Anjaan Brothers.

Music Label:  T Series

1. Robin Hood – Singers: Anjaan – Meet Bros.  Music: Anjaan – Meet Bros.  Lyrics: Aslam Lashkariya

Except Dhol and Nagada, honestly there’s nothing to mention in this song. Honestly nothing is in my mind to write about this track. I would say, a total waste of instruments, recording studio, voices and time of the music producers.

2. Chura Ke Leja – Singers: Yashraj Kapil, Palak Muchhal;  Music: Himesh Reshammiya;  Lyrics: Shabbir Ahmed

This is a typical early 90s shaadi tune that used to sound very good at that time but now it just makes the situation worse. Himesh is stuck to 90s melody this year. Don’t know what’s the reason behind it. But it surely taking all the listeners away from him. Palak sounded good and Yashraj’s voice also suits this kind of melody but the lyrics disappoint in a big way. Chura Ke Leja, Bhaga Ke Leja, Utha Ke Leja.. Shabbir sir, didn’t you find anything to write? Then you should have refused it for the sake of dear listeners.

3. Jhoom Barabar Jhoom – Singers: Vineet Singh, Shadab Sabri, Aman Trikha, Pawani Pandey;  Music: Himesh Reshammiya;  Lyrics: Shabbir Ahmed

The name surely makes you remember the title track of 2006 film Jhoom Barabar Jhoom which was composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. That song was awesome. This one is a crap. Nothing to listen. Shabbir’s lyrics only worsen the mood. Vineet’s vocals are good. Nothing else.

4. Tirat Meri Tu – Singers: Vineet Singh, Shadab Sabri, Palak Muchhal;  Music: Himesh Reshammiya;  Lyrics: Shabbir Ahmed

I would like to say to Himesh sir that if he is not able to make good music, atleast stop opting for Shabbir Ahmed to write the lyrics for his songs. There wasn’t any need for any kind of Punjabi lyrics here. Why the hell he started the mukhra like this, I don’t understand. The tune is quite good. Vineet and Palak make a good jodi and the song suits in their voices. Shadab’s portion in the song is also good. Though Himesh’s typical Harmonium tune irritates a little but one can attempt this one easily. It is the WELCOME song.

5. Policegiri – Singers: Aman Trikha, Rajdeep Chatterjee, Yashraj Kapil, Keshav

I feel pity on the Indian Police now. A straight and stodgy tune with no melody or harmony. Arrangements are waste to mention. Lyrics are nothing but a mere shit in Shabbir’s mind.

Policegiri is a soundtrack that deserves no attention and a total music disaster. After Shortcut Romeo, Himesh again Disappoints badly. Hope to see him back on the track soon. Shabbir Ahmed should find some other occupation. Police bhi giri aur Music bhi giri.

The Final Verdict:  NOT A PROBLEM

Verdict Order:  DISAGREE < NOT A PROBLEM < OKAY < POSSIBLE < AGREE
