Beware of this Irritating Keeda!! (Action Jackson – Music Review)

After a musical success like R..Rajkumar, Prabhu Deva switched to Himesh Reshammiya after working with Sajid-Wajid, Sachin-Jigar and Pritam. I would call it a bad switching. No? What? Himesh is a good composer? Yes, he is but not this time, no, not at all this time! Beware of him! Here, read and know why I am warning you.

1. Keeda – Singers: Himesh Reshammiya, Neeti Mohan;  Lyrics: Shabbir Ahmed

Those buzzing insects that irritates you in the rainy season, insects which look and sound so bad that you can’t tolerate them even for a second, well this song is not that bad, which means you can tolerate it atleast for a minute. After hearing this track, I felt pity for Neeti Mohan that after few years when she’ll look at the list of the songs she did in the beginning of her career, she’ll come across Keeda and feel ashamed. But being a young singer, you simply can’t reject a song from a composer like Himesh Reshammiya. Now more than Himesh, let’s come to highlighter of this track, Mr. Shabbir Ahmed. From many years I have been trying to find some meaning in his lyrics but this man always fails me. This time, he has crossed the limits of being a nonsense lyricist. Okay, I have to mention some lines from this epic track – Tumse milne ka keeda andar hai, dating karle tu, open calender hai, som, mangal, budh, guru, shukr, shani ravi, aaja meri gali, aaja meri gali.

2. Punjabi Mast – Singers: Himesh Reshammiya, Ankit Tiwari, Arya Acharya, Vineet Singh, Alam Gir Khan, Neeti Mohan;  Lyrics: Sameer Anjaan

HR used so many singers for THIS song!! Shabbir’s brother from another mother is Mr. Sameer Anjaan who has just kept on degrading himself in these years. Bringing a hook line Surya ast, Punjabi mast, depicts how much he has lowered down his standard. HR seems to be no different, using some outdated techno sounds and badly arranged Nagada and a waste queue of such good singers. Not a catchy hook, not a well arranged sound and a landing into the “similar” kind of stuffs.

3. Chichora Piya – Singers: Himesh Reshammiya, Shalmali Kholgade;  Lyrics: SameerAnjaan

There’s a hook tune that is somewhat very addictive but the rest of the song is simply intolerable. Situation gets worse when HR enters with his high pitched vocals and croons some horrible lines that he has composed with Sameer Anjaan. Pity on Shalmali as well. Till now, he used her in decent tracks but now she is also trapped in that horribleness. HR has used Shehnai in its baddest form and arranged the song in a very unattractive manner. Yes that tune attracts you from distance, but do not go near to it!

4. Dhoom Dhaam – Singers: Ankit Tiwari, Palak Muchhal;  Lyrics: Sameer Anjaan

What a late 80’s song HR has made! Ankit is the track’s highlight and Palak sounds as artificial as always. I liked that Daphli but it hardly matters as the composition and lyrics are so damn stale that it’s really hard to believe that you are actually listening to a 2014 song. What the hell does bas teri dhoom dhaam hai mean! The antara gets even more stale and stodgy and leaves you with nothing but just tolerance.

5. Gangster Baby – Singers: Neeraj Shridhar, Neeti Mohan;  Lyrics: Shabbir Ahmed

Neeti Mohan’s another horrible track which is a kind of a theme track where Neeraj Shridhar’s avoidable rap and Ajay Devgn’s me criminally good only worsen it. Shabbir’s extremely nonsensical lyrics doesn’t provide the meaning of a single line it says. HR has kept the beats similar to what we hear in low standard orchestra parties. This is not even worth touching. All I want to say is bechaari Neeti!

Himesh Reshammiya’s worst performance till date. One of the most badly composed, written and recorded albums of all time.

The Final Verdict:  DISAGREE
