Pyaar Ki Khuraak!! (Piku – Music Review)

Shoojit Sircar is back with yet another uniquely innocent story with the writer partner Juhi Chaturvedi. The tagline “Motion se hi Emotion” has attracted many of the fun loving people who wants cinema to be simplistic in nature. This film marks a strong Bollywood debut of a famous and lovable Bengali composer Anupam Roy. CLICK HERE to buy Full Soundtrack of Piku from iTUNES!! CLICK to Listen Full Songs

Music: Anupam Roy;  Music Label: Zee Music Company

`1. Bezubaan – Singer: Anupam Roy;  Lyrics: Manoj Yadav, Anupam Roy – A kind of a song that is going to be with you for long. Its emotional factor is quite strong and is very well able to hold the listeners till the end as well as carry the vocals and arrangements quite comfortably and how beautifully Manoj Yadav has presented the in-depth meaning of the song through his lyrics. A song with a long life!! #WelcomeSong

2. Journey Song – Singers: Anupam Roy, Shreya Ghoshal;  Lyrics: Anupam Roy – Yes, Anupam Roy does sound like Arijit but soon you develop a different sound for his voice on your mind. There’s a Shantanu Moitra-like lilting effect in the composition. What stands out here is the melodious Bengali/Hindi portion sung by Shreya Ghoshal. That’s some of the sweetest notes I have heard in recent times. Adorable!!

3. Lamhe Guzar Gaye – Singer: Anupam Roy;  Lyrics: Anupam Roy – The composer gets more inclined towards Western style here with quite straight notes, not somehow getting able to maintain the standard created by the above two tracks. Still, the arrangements are quite soothing and lyrics have a lot in them to be noticed and thought. Worth attempting!

4. Piku – Singer: Sunidhi Chauhan;  Lyrics: Manoj Yadav – Sunidhi with her stable vocals introduces the character of Deepika which is Piku, cooning out some wonderful lines about the character written aptly by Manoj Yadav. He shows his great command over lyric-writing. The female backing vocals are brilliant. They beautify the song in a way that you demand it for repeat listening. Ye paani hai ye aag hai, ye khud likhi kitaab hai, pyaar ki khuraak si hai Piku!

5. Teri Meri Baatein – Singer: Anupam Roy;  Lyrics: Anupam Roy – With a nice and balanced blend of Guitar and Tabla, this song with its soothing arrangements and connective lyrics, has the ability to reach out to many. The Guitar in the second interlude is very impressive. Lyrics are so meaningful and lovely and go well with the composition. Likable!!

Anupam Roy singing all the songs is the only drawback it has!! The album equally excels in composition and lyrics.

The Final Verdict:  POSSIBLE
