Not utilizing the scope!! (Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 – Music Review)

Luv Ranjan’s frustration for girls didn’t get ended in the first installment, hence is back with the second one. Music is given by Hitesh Sonik who also was the composer of the first one along with Sharib-Toshi as guest composers.

1. Sharabi – Singers: Sharib, Toshi, Raja Hasan;  Guest Composer: Sharib-Toshi;  Lyrics: Late Akram Sabri, Kumaar, (Additional Rap by Danish Sabri) – This one song by Sharib-Toshi is enough to set the soundtrack on fire. Heavily based on techno sounds, though it talks of the repetitive stuffs about being an alcoholic, but the way it has been put into the composition and the lyrics is really impressive which makes it quite catchy. The merging of composition and lyrics is something to be looked forward to. Keeps you hooked. #WelcomeSong

2. Paro – Singers: Dev Negi, Shipra Goyal;  Lyrics: Kumaar – Dev Negi wasn’t expected to deliver such energy but he did. The catchy hook line sounds so good that the rest of the song sounds very ordinary. It is indeed ordinary. Antara is dull and one wants to reach to the hook line as soon as possible. Shipra doesn’t get much scope and lyrics are well written but just for the hook line. Whatever awesomeness it has, it begins and ends with the hook line.

3. Heeriye – Singer: Mohit Chauhan;  Lyrics: Hitesh Sonik – Calling Mohit Chauhan is vague for a composition like this which has romantic lyrics but the arrangements are fully laid on techno sounds. It’s like Hitesh forgot that he had to compose a romantic track. It goes contrary to all expectations of being melodious, plus even if it’s techno tuned, it’s not at all catchy. Disappointing

4. Moorakh – Singer: Divya Kumar – It could have been a very entertaining song but thanks to Hitesh Sonik for not putting anything catchy in it. Divya Kumar is fab behind mic and so is Luv Ranjan but sadly, the song fails to appeal even for a second due to not being catchy enough to hold the attention of the listener. Only visuals can save this song.

Hitesh Sonik disappoints yet another time with his unbending, unattractive, unappealing compositions. Sharib-Toshi perform quite well with the one song they got.

The Final Verdict:  NOT A PROBLEM
